The Mariners want to rouse their dormant offense by acquiring OF Randy Arozarena from the Rays.

In an attempt to spark their flagging offense, the Seattle Mariners acquired outfielder Randy Arozarena from the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday night.

The Mariners have experienced a significant decline over the last month, primarily as a result of their faltering offense, which has cost them a 10-game lead in the AL West. Seattle is now behind Houston in the division standings after going 9–20 since June 19.

Future control is also included with Arozarena. For the ensuing two seasons, he is eligible for arbitration; he won't become a free agent until 2027.
